Afifth generation Texan and second generation Houstonian, James Brown and his team serve the Greater Houston area including Pearland, Sugar Land, Katy and Cypress.
“My first priority is to give my buyers and sellers the highest possible level of service,” says James. “When I list a property in the Houston area it’s exposed in multiple ways to a worldwide audience. My time, connections and experience within the real estate market aids me in not only making my buyers and sellers happy, but also the buyers, sellers, and agents on the other side, win-win.” James has among other recent accomplishments, co-hosted a local radio show, interviewing movers and shakers in the real estate industry about the latest trends and developments locally and nationally.
“Keeping on top of the changes in real estate law, policies and procedures is extremely important. I also stay abreast of the latest marketing techniques so I can best serve my clients,” says James, who is also an instructor and trainer for the Texas Association of Realtors(TAR) and the Houston Association of Realtors(HAR), sharing his experience, success stories and insights with Realtors of all levels.
To better serve his clients, James has also pursued and earned a number of designations. To earn a designation, a Realtor is required to take on additional coursework and/or demonstrate specific skills, performance, knowledge and expertise in a particular area of the real estate industry. Some of the designations James has earned include:
Accredited Buyer Representative, ABR (only 3% of Realtors have earned this)
Graduate, Realtor institute, GRI (only 19% of Realtors have earned this)
Certified Distressed Property Expert, CDPE (Pre-foreclosure sales expert)
Certified Short Sale Agent, CSSA (Short Sale expert)
From his time in the Navy to his years as a high school teacher, James has lived a lifetime devoted to service. His military service included 18-months of combat duty in Afghanistan. He remains active in various non-profit groups including Rotary, Financial Mentors of America, and Junior Achievement. He grew up in northwest Houston and is a graduate of Cy-Fair High School in Cypress and the University of West Florida.
