McVaugh Custom Homes Sexy New Contemporary Community: Royal Oaks Courtyard Villas
What a pleasure we had last night touring McVaugh Custom Homes newest project: Royal Oaks Courtyard Villas. David, Carol, and I were impressed by every inch of the grand opening event that they put together and, more importantly, the incredible Houston contemporary homes and town homes that they were showcasing. We rolled up to a valet and then mingled in the clubhouse with live music, wine, and hors d’oeuvres. We were warmly greeted by the team :Lori Machiorlette, Jim McVaugh and his wife, Pamela McVaugh and encouraged to take our time strolling through the community and to enjoy a delicious bite at each home.
As a new transplant from Malibu, I can tell you that I felt some nostalgia for California as we toured these amazing homes, where they’ve placed an emphasis on seamless indoor/outdoor living. We toured 5 different layouts, and we all agreed that the first one we entered was the pièce de résistance. The entry was set behind a private gate and opened to the most unique stone steps that were a part of the pool in the main entrance. It allowed you to actually walk on water. As you walk in the entire front of the home is open thanks to the sliding pocket doors that act as retractable glass walls. The contemporary finishes, European cabinetry, and top of the line appliances (Miele) create a very clean sexy feeling throughout the entire home. This particular layout had two master bedrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs). We were told the thinking behind this was to appeal (perhaps) to an international buyer, leading us to recognize that Mr. McVaugh really did his homework and thought of everything with this project. The downstairs master bath was likely my favorite room of all that we toured. Two separate vanities are flanking a large jacuzzi tub, in addition to a giant steam shower and generous closet space. Oh yes, I can see myself here.
Royal Oaks Courtyard Villas is a manned gated community that is adjacent to the exclusive Royal Oaks Country Club development. It offers extreme privacy for each of its 56 single family residences and 24 townhomes. Every layout that we visited proved to use space very efficiently, making you feel like you are getting a lot of square footage for the price tag. We were also impressed by the lengths they went to make these Houston homes energy efficient and incorporate innovative technology throughout. The homes are all wired through the Control 4 system, allowing the owner to operate all lighting, multimedia, and heating/cooling through central touchpads. Priced between $400,000 to $800,000+ this homes are great value and you will be hard pressed to find anything of similar caliber and value for a pristine California Contemporary in Houston.
To sum it up: My description cannot do this project justice. You will definitely need to see it in person to appreciate the high quality of clean and careful design that went into this development. Bravo McVaugh Custom Homes! We cannot wait to bring you some buyers.
